Antares is a bright star but it is a bright red giant star, a future that awaits the Sun, in a few billion years.
In case you’re looking for Scorpio, look for Antares in the zodiacal plane and follow it up to the T-shaped head, and down through the J-shaped tail and stinger. Very easy to see because it’s rather large. To the left of Scorpio is Saggitarius (whose bow and arrow are pointing at Antares, Scorpio’s heart), which you can find by looking for the teapot. No, I’m serious. The easiest stars to find in Saggitarius look like a giant teapot.
