#princess and the frog is the best and has the best cast and the best supporting cast #a heroine with an awesome supportive mother and female best friend HOLY SHIT #charlotte fucking rules and i love that she is brazenly feminine and ambitious and kind of silly and never gets taught a lesson or any kind of ~comeuppance~ or whatever the fuck usually happens to girls like her in movies like this and she’s not boring and one dimensional and only there to show what a great person the heroine is by comparison she actually is a wonderful funny loving character who loves tia more than anything and that is GREAT ugh i love this movie so much

I love that you don’t have to “choose sides” between girls or whatever destructive bullshit narrative media perpetuates ALL THE TIME, because Tiana and Charlotte love each other and their friendship is stronger than all the bad things in the world. Tiana is Our Heroine, Charlotte is the Best Friend, and EVERYONE WINS AT LADY CHARACTERS. The Princess and the Frog is legit one of my favorite movies in the WORLD.

IT IS THE BEST.  i like a hell of a lot of disney movies, both faulty and not as faulty, but i generally find princess and the frog such a fantastic experience in terms of characters, relationships and friendships and i find myself appreciating it more and more as a film every time i watch it.  i just love tiana and charlotte and their friendship sfm.  oh, and as individual characters they are fantastic as well but.  there is something to say about positive friendships between ladies.
